UK A-Level Results Day 2026: CIE, Edexcel and OxfordAQA key dates

Published:

Direct answer

To check your Pearson Edexcel results for the 2026 exam series, go to the Results area of qualifications.pearson.com. You will need three pieces of information, all of which must match your registration exactly: your centre number, your candidate number, and your date of birth. Without any one of these, you will not be able to log in. Some subjects also include a question-level analysis report alongside your grade, which can help you see where marks were lost.

This guide covers the Edexcel results portal, how CIE and OxfordAQA differ, and how to use your results for UCAS Clearing.

Edexcel results portal – what you need

Pearson Edexcel publishes results through a dedicated student portal. The login page is reached via qualifications.pearson.com and is labelled Results. The credentials required are:

All three fields are mandatory. If you have forgotten your centre or candidate number, contact your exam centre – the portal does not provide a self-service recovery for these fields. The system is only available to candidates registered for the current series; it does not support cross-year or cross-board queries.

After you log in, download or screenshot your results slip. Keep a digital copy – you will need it later for converting an unconditional offer and for visa applications.

Cambridge CIE results – how it differs

Cambridge International (CIE) uses a separate portal at myresults.cie.org.uk. If you are a school candidate, you log in with the unique account and password provided by your school. If you are a private candidate (not registered through a school), your results are not available on that portal. Instead, CIE sends your results directly to the email address you provided during registration. Check that inbox (including spam folders) on results day.

Oxford AQA results – no personal login

Oxford AQA does not offer a personal online results portal. If you are a school candidate, your school receives the results and gives them to you. If you are a private candidate, you must contact the exam centre where you registered – for example, the British Council – and collect your results slip in person. There is no online lookup.

After results – UCAS Clearing and unconditional offers

UCAS Clearing runs alongside results day. Use the official UCAS Clearing page at ucas.com/clearing-and-results-day to see live vacancies and understand the process. Clearing vacancies change in real time, so always check the UCAS site for the current list. You will need your results to contact universities directly; they will confirm whether they can offer you a place. Do not rely on third-party advice for vacancy numbers or entry requirements – only the university and UCAS can confirm.

Regardless of how you received your results, save a digital copy of your results slip (screenshot or PDF). This document is required when converting your offer to an unconditional offer and for your student visa application.
